What a strange, demented feeling it gives me when I realize I have spent whole days before the inkstone, with nothing better to do, jotting down at random whatever nonsensical thoughts have entered my head.

I do have some good news to offset that Notes rant. We've bought a house. I don't know yet when we close or when we get to move in, but I hope it's not before our vacation. It would be a real pain to move house with a maximum of three weeks' notice and pack for an overseas trip at the same time.

Okay, I have to pee.

God, I hate Lotus Notes. If there's a clunkier, more topheavy piece of bloatware crap out there, I haven't seen it. It's especially sad that corporations seem to think Notes is the answer to all their prayers, yet use maybe 5 to 10 percent of its features. If all you really need is an E-mail client, shit, there are much better options out there! Who needs this fatass rhino?

Yeah, I'm trying to tackle yet another Notes problem today. Doubleclick its icon and it shows the splash screen, draws the workspace, then quits with nary a peep. Nice, eh?

Of course, our actual tech support person will A. be slow in responding to the trouble report; B. have no clue how to resolve the issue; C. most likely resort to his usual solution of wiping out the entire PC and reinstalling everything from scratch; and (no, this is not multiple choice) D. get paid thousands too much to do A through C.

I really really really hate Lotus Notes.
